The Red Cross in Georgia

I just came across this video about the work of the Red Cross here in Georgia, and a lovely project they have set up for older people, in Kutaisi I think.  Great to see the amazing work the Red Cross do, and how people’s lives can be improved through relatively simple actions.

I’m also really pleased to see this, because I hope it is something that our young people on Oceans Project can get involved with through their Duke of Edinburgh/International Award as we are now looking for community and voluntary projects for them to get involved with.

I also love this video because I think it shows how life in Georgia is, and the things that should be celebrated, like the culture and traditions, such as panduri playing and polyphonic singing.  I often find it hard to describe to friends and family about what life is like here and I think you can see a lot of the daily life in Georgia in this video:
