International Award for Young People: Part 2

So, I thought I should probably share some photos with you from the very exciting weekend that we had with our guests from the Duke of Edinburgh/International Award Office in the UK.  Can’t believe that we are now the first people and first licensed Independent operators of the International Award here in Georgia.  So exciting!!! And we have our first formal meeting on Saturday to discuss our many plans for the future, so watch this space!!!

Pre course: all ready for the 24 participants to arrive!

Sunday activity, looking for control points, marking them off, then answering the questions to test our knowledge from the training course:

A glimpse inside our training handbooks – lots to remember!

We all studied and listened very hard!!

We set short, middle, and long term goals for running the International Award in Georgia as four Independent Operators: Oceans project Georgia, Girl Scouts, Georgian Youth for Europe, and YMCA:

Did lots of team work activities:

As you can see, my pictures are in a very random order! Here is a certificate and badge, we were awarded these at the end of the course and very very happy indeed!

Here is a picture of me getting my award:

We were all very happy at the end and excited to be the very first people in Georgia to run the International Award for Young People. Can you tell how happy we were???

We also had a supra, which was very nice!

There might have been some dancing….

This next picture pretty much sums up how the training was:)

There was definitely a lot of fun to be had!!
