Just back from yet another visit to the Dr’s Surgery in the very posh town of Henley-On-Thames, and overprivilaged folk who have no idea just how lucky they are to be in receipt of the health care that they are getting. The surgery is brightly painted, has a beautiful carpet, gold edged picture frames, and endless posters and leaflets to remind patients to get their flu jabs. Its a far cry from my experiences in Georgia, which were still not at all bad compared to other countries I have visited for health care due to my seemingly great ability to always end up with some new illness whilst abroad! I never seem to get sick at home in the UK, its always things I have acquired abroad!
But the nurse was nice, I’ve dropped off several samples, and given my blood for analysis. So now I have to wait for the results, and the next highlight of my week will be going to the hospital tomorrow for my x-ray! Such is the excitement of my life at the moment! Not exactly what I had in mind when I thought about becoming an explorer, but I guess this is the reality lol:)
